I don’t listen to Weezer [other than their cover of Velouria], but I recall Mark saying their earlier stuff was better. Since, y’know, Mark listens to an insane amount of music. (His apartment has like 200 feet of 4-ft-high CD shelves.)

I like “Raditude” even less than the Red album. It’s shallow, poppy, radio music and is totally boring and forgettable IMO. This is three albums in a row from Weezer that I haven’t liked, and, I’ve liked each less than the last. Very dissapointing.

On the bright side, I did like several tracks from Rivers Cuomo’s “Alone: The Home recordings,” which included unreleased tracks intended for their never published 2d album “Tales from the Black Hole.”

At this point, I’m more interested in b-sides and unreleased early Weezer tracks than new material. Sad, but true.

Actually, the wikipedia page Evan gave – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complete_%27B%27_Sides – mentions what songs are comprise the original singles.

It’s very easy to click on the 2 from Doolittle, scroll down, and see which ones are Doolittle b-sides.

Nowadays, the only real way to tell is research. In the old days it was easy, since the B-side referred to the songs released on the B side of a single that were often not included in albums.

Good question! I’m guessing the best way is to listen to the album “Complete B-Sides” which includes most/all of the Pixies B-sides. I don’t really know how to identify which were “Doolittle” era b-sides, though. I’ve heard “Manta Ray” is a b-side from Doolittle, and maybe “Weird at my school,” but I’m not sure. We just happened to decide to watch all 9 star trek movies in a row– so we just watched Wrath Of Khan last nite! How appropriate that many other people are probably watching it too, since he just died!

GREAT quote…I saw that exact scene yesterday – some blog posted it next to the news of his death. (I think it’s “cold in space” tho…as in…revenge is a dish best served cold…and its very cold in space”)

Who thought it was even -possible- to ham it up more than Shatner?
